Pacific Power Engineering (Aust) Pty Ltd offers a full reconditioning and sale for spare parts and even complete engines should that be a customer’s requirement. All components are cleaned, measured and tested to the manufacturer’s specification.
Case study: 12VPC2.5 Crankcase, Jabiru NT
The image for this project is a 12VPC2.5 reconditioned crankcase supplied to a power station in Jabiru, NT. The unit was procured overseas, brought back to Australia, fully cleaned and completely tested for cracking. It was sent to one of the large engineering workshops in Victoria that had a mill capable of machining this large part.
The top deck and fuel pump landings were machined true, and the unit was cleaned again, primed and painted before fitting the reconditioned camshafts back into the unit, then shipped off to the customer with the bedplate that was also provided. All outside work is overseen by our engineers.
PPEA has also supervised the grinding and polishing of 5 crankshafts for these engines at Jabiru, owing to site restrictions on what type of tasks can be carried out. Again, this work was carried out in Melbourne with one of our supply partners.
